I can't remember the last time I read a column as ignorant, lazy, insulting, condescending, or just plain stupid as this 'effort' (note that it would not be difficult at all had I not stopped reading Krugman, Dowd and Rich last summer). I've long wondered how an otherwise seemingly rational person could adhere so strictly to stilted ideologies; how they could be so consistently willing to smother a sense of social well-being.
It's merely a matter of having been dumped in the shallow end of the gene pool.
As for the kick in the chops, Lileks performs the metaphoric service:
