More: Lawhawk at A Blog for All is all over this emerging story. In the last few hours, the momentum on this one has continued to grow as new facts are uncovered. I don't want to experience another let down, but it's kind of hard not to get a little excited.
There's not much more I'd rather see than little tiny bits of Zarqawi cluttering the Iraqi countryside. Let's hope it's true, though I've hoped the same with regard to stories that haven't panned out in the past. In any event, the visual imagery is nice . . .At least one Arab television media outlet reported that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the al-Qaida in Iraq, was killed in Iraq on Sunday afternoon when eight terrorists blew themselves up in the in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
The unconfirmed report claimed that the explosions occurred after coalition forces surrounded the house in which al-Zarqawi was hiding.
